The Aging Eyes

The Aging EyeYes, my eyelashes have thinned with age and the eyelids are starting to droop a little.  If  I wasn’t already sensitive enough about the issue…. I am bombarded daily with information on television and in magazines what I can do about my lashes and lids.  It amazes me that I hear or see little about what really matters…healthy eyes.  The aging eye is an important issue and although I’m intrigued by the host of magical products available, I am more concerned with the expected changes in vision and what I can do to protect my vision and information about eye conditions and treatments. A presentation offered by mmLearn.org which is ALL about the aging eye is now available for free.  You can even ask questions of the presenter who the Assistant Clinical Professor with the Dept of Opthamology at UTHSCSA.

The program covers:

  • Normal changes associated with aging
  • Basal cell carcinoma
  • Drooping eyelids
  • Hemorrhages
  • Melanoma
  • Dry eye syndrome
  • Cataracts
  • Herpes Zoster associated with Shingles

Caregivers of older adults learn as much for themselves as they do for those they are caring for.

After watching the video on aging eyes…I would also like to hear if anyone reading this has had success with products for thinning lashes....
